MLB '24 Regular Season Thread

The little kid at bottom brought a tennis ball and has alternated between tossing it up to catch fly balls and rolling them on the fake grass in the patio area to chase grounders. But he stopped for a moment to watch this. Might have been cutting onions at this moment.

 

I'm sure we've talked about this, but it's truly incredible how badly they've drafted. Only six players drafted by the Tigers have generated at least 10.0 in WAR for the team since 2000.

Bobby Higginson was drafted in 1992!!!!! He debuted in 1995 and played for Sparky Anderson and with Lou Whitaker & Alan Trammell. You couldn't fuck up this badly if you tried.

 

That's so heartwarming; go play with a ball and pretend instead of playing MLB '24.

 

As someone taking in his first complete MLB broadcast in five years, both of these teams are ass. The fact they are even mentioned as potential wild cards is an abomination to the Lord.

You inspired me to look up the standings. Yep, there are the Reds in the depths of hell in the Central, right where I left them.

 

Doing the Special Anti Cancer Song 15 minutes downwind of the US Steel Fairfield Works is certainly a choice.

 

The Rockies are like Bart in the flashback episode where he has a miserable first day of kindergarten.
