    Thought I remembered it from Bob Woodward's book "Wired" but checked this morning. Sutherland's not even listed in the index.
    Remember reading somewhere: Animal House director John Landis approached Sutherland about appearing in the film. Sutherland agreed to with the stipulation he be paid his daily rate (IIRC, it was $40,000) instead of a percentage of the profits.
    Now, I don't know how many days Sutherland was on the set in Oregon, but that negotiating decision cost him millions of dollars.

    Matrix and John Wick aren’t really in my wheelhouse, but I assume he has the best track record at the box office. Possibly to be challenged by a Ryan to be named later.

    Its funny, but getting Sutherland for maybe a two day shoot was what got the movie greenlit, since he was the only "name" actor involved.
