That's because it's firing bullets so fast you'd swear it feels like a machine ... gun.

    Oh!

I see. So Thomas is an originalist when it comes to the mechanics of a firearm. Got it!

Someone should ask him if he'd like to be an originalist on everything prior to the 13th amendment.
Honestly, his dumb ass would probably say OK.

SCOTUS upholds ban of ownership of guns by domestic violence abusers.

    8-1. Thomas dissents.

Of course fucking Thomas dissents. Glad to see some safeguards are in place.

I figured the police unions would argue that too many cops won't be able to be cops anymore.

Fascinating situation when I was on the grand jury. Prosecutor gave us a head's up that the deputy sheriff who was going to be the state's witness in the next case was also to be indicted with domestic violence in the case to follow, which meant he was about to lose his job. Hard not to have a bit of a bias knowing that information, but at the same point, the DA was upfront about it.

When I was a domestic violence prosecutor, I had several occasions where we prosecuted police officers, including one who was a homicide detective.

The federal law prohibiting domestic abusers from possessing firearms has an exception. Police and military can legal possess a firearm while they are on duty.

For the homicide dick, we helped the PD work out a solution where he could continue to work, but his gun would be turned in and logged at the end of each shift. The PD worked it out because firing him would've put about a dozen homicide cases in jeopardy of not being able to be prosecuted and he was only like 18 months from retirement. He wasn't given new cases, they kept him in solely to wrap up as many of his cases as possible.

The other three - two patrolmen and a property crimes investigator - were just let go by the PD.

That clown has been bent so bad he looks like a coat hanger when you tried to open a locked car door (we used to do that!) he’s useless and will go down in history as the worst example of an attorney ever. What he writes is meaningless and zero value.
