If Cleveland had tried to trade for Luzardo, I was going to have flashbacks of John Smiley and Jack McDowell.

As excited as I was to see Matt Chapman signed and to see a legit 3B there, he’s the classic case of “big name” on downside getting overpaid. Fortunately he’s only got a 2 yr deal. Slow bat, chases, not a great eye.

Yup. Not at all surprised, but it looks like he will be out for a while. Now they are calling it a lumbar stress reaction.

Anecdotal from spending three days here wearing an Orioles cap, but there still a fuck ton of Baltimore fans in DC. Even had a convo with one of the cops stationed outside the Justice Department about last night’s game. So many people stopping to say go Os. Love to see it.

He's also been the same player offensively going on six years now. His second year was the outlier. You knew what you were getting with the bat to get the glove

Grand opening, grand closing for Orelvis Martinez. Suspended 80 games for taking delicious, nutritious Clomiphene a couple days after his first big-league hit.

What a debacle of a season in Toronto.

Yeah I get that. But .220/.290/680 at cleanup in late June is depressing to watch.

The ground has opened up and swallowed Albert Suarez. Seven batters, 20 pitches, six hits, 4-0 Houston. Still just one out.

It was hilarious last night when Angels announcer Wayne Randazzo trapped himself into talking about pitcher Patrick Sandoval, who left Friday's game. Randazzo said everything about the situation except "Tommy John." He used "forearm tightness" and every other description of Tommy John, except Tommy John. Then somebody hit the ball and he got out of it.
No official explanation yet and the Angels have an ultra-rare Sunday off day, so there won't be anything until tomorrow. If Sandoval does not need Tommy John, I will apologize.
