This is amazing. Only hours earlier, he labels "selfish" a question on whether he's going to Texas. He strongly implies the question is stupid. He strongly implies that he'd never leave ATM.
If I'm Trev Alberts, I tell him, "My advice to you is to interview well for the job and to take it if you can because your pursuit of that job has disqualified you from serving as our coach at ATM. You have committed treason simply by showing an interest in that school."
Of course, he won't do that because such statements would probably prevent him from collecting the buyout money from Texas.

 

He was either going through an ugly divorce or it had just finalized around the time he left Fort Worth and rumor was he was seeking a fresh start in life. Maybe he means his kids are still up there.

 

He also did say, "I know you have to ask that question."

 

And that right there, folks, is the definition of having no shame.

I was thinking earlier today that if I were Schlossnagle and were approached by anyone from UT, all I could say at that point would be, "I'd never be able to look myself in the mirror at this point if I entertained the idea of taking your head coaching position."

Guess I was wrong. Again.
