MLB '24 Regular Season Thread

I'm not sure whether to be disgusted or impressed that a guy can throw a 95 mph heater on the inside black while throwing up.

 

Heater? That looked like a yakker to me.

 

I'd hate to do an audit of all the players that have done through Detroit since 2012's WS appearance (I'll start, Verlander, Scherzer) Damn and Illitch was willing to spend to win!

 

All I know was that he was throwing up in the zone.

 

I'm panicking. The starting rotation consists of an ace; a decent No. 2 starter; a journeyman; a swing man; and a rookie.
It is being exposed. The results are an ongoing five-game losing streak that will soon get worse. And there's half a season left. A pitching staff like that is not going to win over the long haul. And I'm not sure there are enough trade prospects out there.

 

What kind of spin rate did it have?

That nastiness is all over Twitter. I may just not look at social media for a few days.

 

The schedule has really exacerbated this, too. One off day in June is absurd. They're off the next two Mondays. Hopefully they can stanch the bleeding tonight. Grayson needs to show the fuck up. Then Burnes tomorrow. Good chance to right the ship a little bit.
