President Biden: The NEW one and only politics thread

Two things:

1. If Biden is fit to run, he is fit to answer all those questions, which were completely fair. If he can only handle himself in a friendly, scripted setting with softball questions, he's not in any condition to run.

2. Regarding the bolded: The debate made it clear that Biden is no longer capable of delivering this message in any meaningful way. He's done nothing to change that impression in the 10 days since. And he's not going to get better as time goes by.

Enough already.

Edit: Regarding the first bolded (failing to clobber Trump): that's because he no longer has that capability. His skills in that respect are gone. At best, he's Steve Carlton hanging on with a sad, demeaning American League tour in the late 80s, getting shelled in Chicago, Cleveland and Minnesota. And his best possible outing to reassure people he still actually does have it if you just give him time to work out the kinks, is a start with 4 IP giving up less than 10 runs.

 

There is still a large subset of women who are anti-abortion. There is also a large subset of women who want to control what children read, see, and are exposed to on various platforms. Conservative women have been a big driver of the right's quest to take over school boards.

 

It’s not enough that some Democrats were happy if Biden got on base with a bunt single. He needed a home run to make up for how awful he was the week before and did not (could not?) deliver. However mean you think the interview questions were, I promise persuadable voters have those same questions and even tougher ones in mind. If it was a softball interview, it would have done nothing to repair the damage.

The Democrats have to win however they can legally do so. If that means elevating Kamala Harris then great. We can throw Biden a testimonial dinner afterwards and say all the nice things. But we don’t have time to kiss asses and massage egos right now. Clock’s a tickin’.

 

That is totally true. You don’t hear about dads obsessing over books in the school library.

But he made it 5 innings! Just like Joe made it through the entire interview!

 

Its amazing to me that both LeBron and Biden think the public are totally buying their latest "productions." Yeah, its all totally legit! Nothing to see here!

more like those polls where republicans were asked about the affordable healthcare act and said it was great and how it’s helped them then when asked about Obamacare says it was terrible
