And the Mariners. No way any of their position players should be at the All-Star Game unless they buy a ticket.

Another series loss for the M’s, as Toronto wins its annual home series in Seattle with a rally against the Mariners’ bullpen. George Springer strikes again …

That’s six straight series losses for the AL West leaders.

To update: apparently De La Cruz is Betts' replacement and Ramos replaced Tatis. Skenes is a replacement for Wheeler.

Tucker will still need a replacement.

    Home run derby idea…

You get one time up. 15 swings/20 pitches.

Longest home run gets a trophy.

Fastest exit velocity gets a trophy.

    Most out gets a trophy.

Add all up somehow and get a champion.

    I would watch that.

Francisco Lindor is a huge snub. Terrible April. Been absolutely brilliant at the plate and in the field since then.

David Fry, all-star, still makes me howl. What a strange year.

If Tucker can’t go, Santander needs to be the replacement.

By itself, that can’t DQ you this year. Santander is at ~ .230, I think.
I’m baffled by David Fry, who has played in 67 games with 8 HR and 33 RBI. I know he has a .920 OPS and probably excels in 4,572 categories that nobody knows about, but come on. Best explanation might be that he’s 28 and played a while in the minors before getting a shot last year. Players like that, I guess. An All-Star bonus means a lot to a guy like that.

Whatever, won the series. After multiple people in my life hitting me with absolute panic after yesterday's result, like that shit doesn't happen often over the course of a 162-game season.

DH isn't what it used to be now that it's used as a revolving door to rest guys. I assume if Stanton hadn't gotten hurt, he would have been the choice but it also depends who is listed on the ballot at DH

Maybe it's that he's a pretty solid contributor on the best team in the league.
