Trump's not a master showman. Or charismatic. Or entertaining. He's a human chemical fire on a bridge filled with buses of nuns and schoolkids.

 

Soon. They’re probably recalibrating to make it more about Biden’s positives and no mention of Trump. Go negative about Trump now and you seem insensitive. Keep it positive and singularly focused, you stay in be public eye but you don’t make Trump look better as a result. Attack ads will resume after the convention.

 

The BBC video well upthread has a citizen explaining precisely to the interviewer that he and his friend saw the guy on the roof with a rifle well before the shooting. He said he spent at least 3 minutes telling police and Secret Service about the guy and pointing to him in the roof. And LEOs did nothing. I saw that here at least a half hour before CNN mentioned anything about it. Yes, SS will be under scrutiny. They are being unfairly praised.

 

Seems like there was enough blood to stain his crisp white shirt.

 

Nope. Not how it works. Long standing policy for any elevated platform or roof within a certain range of a protected individual to be covered.

The fact that it wasn't is a huge security lapse.

 

Yeah, the TMZ video was pretty overt. Guy was in a prone shooting position. I really doubt that it took long between the "Gun! On the roof a hundred yards southeast!" (or whatever it was.) call went out and the SS sniper took his head.

The three minute thing, that's where heads are going to roll and careers end. As they should.

One local police officer climbed to the roof and encountered Crooks, who pointed his rifle at the officer. The officer retreated down the ladder, and Crooks quickly took a shot toward Trump, and that’s when Secret Service snipers shot him, said the officials, who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity to discuss an ongoing investigation.

 

You don't necessarily take the shot immediately when he's seen, but there should have been a protective sniper with a scope who never took his eyes off of him as soon as he walked out there.

 

Had to look quite a while before I finally found the name of the deceased; aka the guy whose body wasn’t yet cold before half of Congress called for Biden’s arrest for being a Democrat.
