Thank you; it has been very sad to see it progress. She had been depressed, apathetic and withdrawn at times, but the only small consilation is most of the time, she is still in good spirits. My understanding is some who deal suffer with the disease become far more depressed than she, and some become angry and violent. A lifelong friend of hers is suffering with some sort of dementia (not sure which), and we've been told he's had violent outbursts at nursing home staff.

CNN had some squawker on who mentioned Andy Brashear. Interesting thought, I guess.

Kind of my point. Take the same attitude.

"She had an affair with Willie Brown!"

    "So?"

I've stated previously that Cooper makes a lot of sense because it means Dems won't put a governorship or senate seat in play prematurely, as he's facing term limits in NC. But these are all solid picks.

It is really extraordinary how deep the bench of popular Democratic governors. Beshear has one of the highest approval ratings of any governor in the country... as a Democrat in Kentucky.

She will have a difficult choice picking a VP in such a tight timeframe.

Republicans: “Biden is too old and senile to run for president!”

Biden: “I agree. I’m dropping out.”

Republicans: “How dare Joe Biden drop out!”
