So UKR is getting about /has gotten 80 F-16's, mostly donated by Belgium and Poland. That will help air cover over Ukraine itself. I doubt they raid over the Russian border much because the targets they'd really want to hit have pretty good SAM coverage, particularly the airfields. They'll still be a big help, and perhaps will occasionally knock down Russians lobbing glide bombs over the border.

The wild card is that South Korea has decided to move to counterbalance the aid that the Norks are sending RUS. They're sending UKR a bunch of short range ballistic missiles, perfect for hitting Russian planes parked several hundred miles inland and feeling safe. Can't wait till the first big wave of those go in. Hopefully their presence is announced by hitting multiple targets simultaneously.

The Koreas are a huge wild card in this. Russia and North Korea recently announced that mutual aid alliance, where they're supposed to come to each other's aid if attacked. At the same time, North Korea has been talking about sending troops to Ukraine (supposedly to assist with occupation and rear area duties, although they're almost certain to be in front line positions eventually). Now you have South Korea sending missiles to Ukraine.
So what happens when South Korean missiles hit North Korean troops in Ukraine? Or even Russian troops or Russia itself? Does that spark off the entire Korean peninsula, since NK would have "justification" from an attack on itself and/or an ally?

Ukraine doesn't have near enough trained pilots to fly those planes.

I think most Red Army soldiers would gladly take 15 days in the hole. It's 15 days that they're not taking bullets.
