Absolutely positively not. First, because even this proves to be an easily disproven hoax, it won't convince the MAGA morons. And secondly, Trumpists demand the end for anyone caught lying except themselves. Clay will just bray about being canceled and the sheep will gather 'round.

    We disagree.

I think it was dumb of him to even put it on social media. But there is zero practical gain for him to making it up.

But it's a silly point for me to make on this site, honestly. Believe what you want.

Are you disagreeing shame is dead, at least among MAGAs? Are you disagreeing the Republican presidential candidate is a walking breathing lie? Acting and lying without shame is all these assholes have. I don't know if Clay made this up. I wouldn't be surprised if he did. If he did make it up, I would be very surprised if it did anything but improved his career.

I don't think he made it up and I think if he did make it up it will ruin his career. Obviously, you think he might have, and apparently believe making such a thing up would improve his career. I disagree.

I'm guessing there's something between "ruin career"and "help career," such as "blow over and be forgotten in two weeks," which IMO is the likeliest outcome in any of these hypotheticals.
