They use the chest, not foot or leg.

    Here's a good screen cap:

I never saw a list of the finishers and times. And did they ever say that Kerley got bronze? I may have missed it but assume it since he had a flag

They showed the list at the end. They pretty much ignored Kerley.

Their coverage has been horrendous for details, particularly for track and field.

Swimming was better, but even that had some important information left out.

That 100m deserved an “Inside the NBA”-style postgame show.

Been watching CBC a lot. There must be a quota for analysts’ use of “calm, cool and collected” that must be met. EVERY event it’s used. Have they not met words such as poised?

Much less jingoism than NBC, but some issues - such as saying at finish of men’s 1,500 semis that top three make the final. The correction was quick (top six), but still. Commentary also not always meshing with on-air graphics.

Person doing desk updates noted something about the performance of a couple of “Canadians, who are representing Canada.” I’m all for spontaneity, but have some clue what you’re about to say.

F'in Leigh Diffey. I miss Tom Hammond. That's an iconic moment but you don't have to declare a winner in that moment. "Photo finish!" is pretty darned exciting to say.

Exactly. Gush over the finish. Talk about how tight the entire field was, how Lyles closed so well.

Diffey seemed too eager to call a winner. He got caught up in the moment. Just can't do that.

Officially, Lyles won by .005 seconds (9.79784 to 9.79789). Kerley was third in 9.81.
First through eighth were separated by .12 seconds.

Great race - too bad it didn't have a call to match it.
