Been a bad year over there. Couple of high-profile assassinations, including one on your own soil with a bomb smuggled in months earlier. President killed in a crash.

FWIW, nobody gave a shit at the time, but one of the released hostages said he was held by an UNRWA worker (A teacher with 10 kids). ... who kept him locked in an attic, barely provided food and neglected his medical needs.

I can deal with the feckless UN that serves zero purpose in the world, it's the corrupt UN that shrugs off all of the shitty things it does like it has some kind of moral authorty, that is dangerous.
