To see the new kickoff. To avoid Tirico and NBC's "production" of the Olympics.

Did the judge overturn the entire verdict or the award? I know he threw out the 14 billion dollars of damages because he determined the calculation of damages was based on speculative factors. But did he also overturn the finding that the NFL Sunday Direct pricing was in violation of antitrust laws?

My limited understanding of the case is that the NFL's defense was based around the antitrust exemption the league received over 60 years ago from Congress to negotiate with broadcast networks. The court had found that the exemption only narrowly applied to over the over the air networks that existed at that time and did not apply to streaming services.

If the courts ultimately decide the antitrust exemption is narrowly defined and does not apply to streaming services that will be a very big deal for the business of sports because streaming is clearly the future. It would probably lead to some big changes in the way the NFL does business.

The monetary judgement is of limited importance to anyone other than the NFL owners and the plaintiffs and their lawyers.

Would love to see a story on why Alaska and Hawaii are so over the moon crazy for NFL preseason games and why they pick some of these teams to show, especially away from the west coast.

I don't see it anywhere else yet. Sounds like they are working on a deal, but it's not done.

Now the reports are the Steelers are out. They wouldn't meet the 49ers' asking price. Bad job, Cam Marino.

If some other team gets him for less than a first-round pick, I'm going to be pissed. The Steelers have Pickens and a collection of rejects at receiver. Third-round pick Roman Wilson was carted off the practice field with a sprained ankle a few days ago. He should be fine for the opener, but it's going to be a lot tougher for him to be ready to contribute with the lost reps. I understand why they wanted to move on from Diontae Johnson. His play regressed and his attitude was a growing problem. Unfortunately, they didn't do nearly enough to replace him, which is a really odd choice for a team that fancies itself a contender with a quarterback on a one-year deal.
