Yes. There are a ton of deployments that, while directly related to and in support of combat operations, are not combat. And that’s completely fine and noble in its own right.

If Walz was wearing a combat ribbon that he didn't earn - like a certain member of Congress, or played up his military service - like various politicians who were "there" but never witnessed combat - I'd give him more grief about it. I can't believe the GOP is wasting as much time on this this thing. Yes, Walz is a "hit" with the crowds, but he's a veep nominee. The Trump campaign has been all over the place for months with their attacks, and its only gotten worse since Harris emerged after Biden stood down.

 

I thought the military were all suckers and losers anyways.

 

Mainly just the ones who get captured or killed.
