    And if that's the case, how does NBC not have multiple sources in the village and the stadium confirming that before the race? That's inexcusable as a major sports reporting organization.

    You don't hide that diagnosis from the viewers, then conveniently drop it when he doesn't win!

    I cannot press the like button enough. I'm so tired of NBC Sports and their inability to stop stepping on their own dicks.

    Just FYI, it's not a world record. It's an Olympic record.

    World record is 98.48 by Jan Zelezny, set in 1996

    NBC was pushing Lyles (and Sha'Carri Richardson) since last NFL regular season. Then again, it seems more since Noah Lyles is such a completely unlikeable personality.

    Considering the defending Olympic champion is from India and something of a national hero there, I suspect the level of internet discourse on this is not very great.
