    I haven't covered track in years, but I would bet most high school meets still don't have electronic timing.

    Probably depends on the school, but it's pretty common around here. Heck, every 5K around here has chip timing these days. If they don't, it's just a fun run.

    In Illinois, most do. Can’t recall the last time I went to a meet without chip timing and live scoring online. It’s like covering the Olympics.

    I have been watching a lot of the races on Peacock and my sound is ahead of the picture so it seems like the field pauses after the gun goes off.

    I can’t even remember how I coped with doing track agate before MileSplit without taking hostages. Talk about a godsend.

    I've actually been noticing that for months, not only on Peacock but on YouTube TV as well. On the French Open and Wimbledon broadcasts, I'd hear the crowd erupt and Patrick McEnroe saying, "HELLO!" just before a player hit a winner.

    Mine did discus and shot put this spring. I did not share that bon mot with her.
