Man, I'm off next week and was thinking of going to the Yankees-Tigers Sunday night game. Wondered why that would be the matchup.

Just realized it's the Williamsport game.

San Diego just blew out Pittsburgh to sweep.
    This Padres team is good.
Martin Perez beats his most recent former club.

Steve Carlton '72 was before my time but I've read about it and it was an amazing story. I was just aware enough of sports to recall bits and pieces of Fernando-mania, but I can imagine what Bird-mania was like.

From what I hear, that's one of the toughest games of the season as far as just getting through the gates.

Monkey's finally off the back of Coby Mayo. Line single in the fifth. Interestingly, it IS his first Camden Yards appearance.

Sweeping the Pirates does not make a team good.

So far picking up Boyd and Cobb has worked out well for Cleveland.

In 19 seasons of competition, the Washington National League Ball Club LLC has won the season series vs. the Orioles twice.
