I'm as big a Ukraine hawk as anyone but talk of UAF using JDAMS to bomb Russian bridges in Kursk scares the hell out of me.

 

Man, this war has taken some sharp turns. Having the advantage seems to be like a two-goal lead in hockey.

 

It shouldn’t. Best proof of concept we will ever get: testing advanced systems against our main enemy.

 

Granted, there’s some intel value here for sure. But JDAMS aren’t the latest in technology, and we certainly aren’t giving them the newest ones.

 

Reports that Ukraine has opened a second excursion into Russia. And that their drones hit a Russian airbase in the Arctic Circle some 2,000KM away.

 

Vlad is going to be goaded into popping a nuke. After that everything is up for grabs.

Volgograd: Four officials dead in Russian jail hostage-taking

Four prison employees have been killed after prisoners staged a revolt in a Russian penal colony and took hostages, federal authorities say.
Special forces stormed the IK-19 Surovikino facility in the southwestern Volgograd region after knife-wielding prisoners, who identified themselves as Islamic State (IS) militants, claimed to have taken control of the sprawling complex.
Authorities said the special forces operation had freed some hostages and "neutralised" all the attackers, but later confirmed that four prison employees had died.
An unverified image posted on social media appeared to show an inmate holding a knife standing above a bloodied prison guard during the revolt.
Russia's Rosgvardia National Guard said snipers shot four attackers in the rescue operation.

 

Ukraine destroyed the last of three major ferries that take fuel and lubricants across the Kerch Strait and into Crimea. Effectively, this has cut off the fuel supply to Crimea since the bridge still has major issues.
There is a also a major refinery that has been burning for a week, and the refinery might soon explode if the flames hit its kerosene tanks.
