How much of a difference will this make in increasing revenue?

Times had a good piece on the rebrand.

Defying Crisis in Local News, The Star Tribune Expands

They let the sports editor, Chris Carr, go about a month ago and the folks I know there were not happy with that move, but it's always good to see a paper adding coverage, as the Strib is doing with outstate/Greater Minnesota.

Why was Chris Carr let go? Who is the replacement?

I believe the new guy came from within the Utah Jazz organization, if I'm understanding correctly.

I like the new logo. All of the other branding stuff can be flushed.

First thing I see with that logo is a four-point star being torn in half, two colors (more division) and something that doesn't really look like a star. More like a butterfly.

And then a duck reading a phone and newspaper.

Rebranding often is just deck-chair shuffling. I hope it goes well for them, I really do. They have a great legacy and do some great work.

Chris Carr announces his return to what is now the Minnesota Star Tribune.

(I'm disappointed I can't remember how to copy a post from X onto here.)
