Yep, bottom of the third, a two-run clout to give the AL a 3-0 lead. Fittingly, it was the difference in their 4-2 victory.

An NBA player has scored more than 2,800 points in a season 10 times. Wilt Chamberlain did it four times, and Michael Jordan did it twice.

Who are the other four players to do it?

Kareem has to be one, right?

Bob McAdoo, LeBron, and Jerry West?

    Kareem and McAdoo are correct.

    Two more to go.

BTW, all, I've done the math. To score 2,800 points you have to average a little more than 34 points per game (34.15, to be more precise) if you play all 82 games.

    Kobe is correct.

    One left.

    Yep.

Fun side fact: Wilt is the only guy to score over 4,000 in a season, with 4,029 the year he averaged 50 a game.

The next-closest non-Wilt season was from Jordan, with 3,041.

    Elgin Baylor?

Gotta be somebody like George Gervin. Or possibly Doctor J? (I don't think Pete Maravich was on teams good enough to average 32 points a game.)

    Nope on all three.

The answer is much more recent.
