Speaking of disses, anyone seen Gavin Newsom lately? Outside of the roll call??

 

Sarah Palin was my exit ramp from the GOP. Voted Obama in ‘08 and changed my registration shortly thereafter. The last GOP candidate for whom I voted was Gus Bilirakis when I lived in Florida, because the Dems put a complete empty suit as the challenger. I suspect I’ll vote straight-ticket D for the rest of my life.

 

Don't think I saw how vast the differences were in the parties until my Arizona stint. Gladly voted for McCain for the Senate, but could not darken the circle for him vs. Obama.

 

raised by FDR Democrats, straight middle class. I grew up with a latch key and read by the soothing blue light of the cathode ray nipple.

 

I once lived in that district. I crossed party lines to vote for Gus' father, Mike, mainly on his support for veterans issues.

Gus is a Trumpist tool who leaned into the Tea Party movement 14 years ago and never looked back.

 

They were never gonna win. IMO.
