The one thing Trump conclusively proved is that nobody gives a shit about this stuff who isn’t using it as a club to bludgeon the side they already hate. So the NYT’s attitude might be three parts haughtiness and one part worrying about the business model.

In my kids’ case, there is an overreliance by the teachers/school district to use the latest app or online curriculum and have the kids staring at screens all day long. There are benefits, to be sure, but they aren’t supposed to be getting an online degree here.
