Their kicker made a 66-yarder in the preseason, and the one he hit Sunday looked like it had a few yards to spare.

Actually, I think watching Bazooka Leg take a shot at a 65-yard field goal is plenty interesting. I've never quite understood why kicking is looked upon as a boring part of the game.

Y'all know what's entertaining? Winning the game. By one point, by four points, by 24 points ... nobody relevant cares how much their team wins by.

    Just win, baby.

Somebody will try a 70-yardee this year.

The same reason John Isner is looked upon as a boring part of tennis. Stands there and does one thing well. :)

Well, look at it from an analytical standpoint:

-- Last play of the half, you're down 3 or less. Clock is stopped so you can't just run out the half
    -- 4th and 15+ on your own 47
-- Significant wind at your back
    -- You've got a big-leg kicker anyway

Chance he's gonna make it, maybe 20 percent; the only ultimate disaster scenarios, thr attempt is blocked, or short, and is run back for a TD, maybe 2 percent (1 out of 50)?? If he just misses the kick, who cares?

Just watched 1st qtr of DAL-CLE, Brady is actually not bad IMHO. He gives some insight into how hard a throw is and what the defense is doing.

I would like to see someone like Jake Bates line up a 70-yard free-kick field goal after a fair catch.

I don't. As I wrote on a group chat with some other Steelers fans yesterday, "All hail the great and powerful Boz!"

With time, he might be as good as the guy they demoted who was getting paid half as much.

I liked Moose a lot and certainly not saying Brady’s better.
