Thankfully, Calgorithms have been a great respite this week.

Based on the comments to that post, I will affirm a large number of Southerners don't understand parody (which is quite amusing, given that's SEC Shorts in a nutshell). When the Stanford band did a halftime performance at the Liberty Bowl a number of years back, they made fun of the "previously unknown state of East Carolina." Very few Pirates fans had any clue what was happening, and cheered every time the PA announcer said "Welcome to East Carolina." That actually made the performance even more enjoyable for me, because they didn't know they were being made fun of.

Steve Spurrier's tongue-in-cheek comments would get under the skin of people at Auburn, Georgia and Florida State precisely because they literally couldn't take a joke. And I'll say the same thing about Florida fans and their jorts-covered thin skin as well.

People 'round here don't like it when the joke's on them, particularly when they don't understand what's funny about it. Bless their hearts.

I'm really hoping Cal wins so the Woke Campbell Stadium jokes continue.

The “not mad bro” takes from my Auburn friends after the Cal game were restaurant quality.

I can't wait to see what they have in store for when they come to Pittsburgh next month. I may go to the game based off of their shitposting alone.

I don’t know, but if I had to follow those people I think I’d delete my account.
