Down goes Nebraska. I'd have thought that grueling OOC schedule would have prepared them more.

Big win for Big Bret and the Illini.

Nebraska back to its recent ways: missed FG in the fourth quarter (albeit with their backup kicker), tissue soft defense in OT, and zero protection for the Huskers QB when they got the ball.

Harvard Crimson. Dartmouth Big Green. North Texas Mean Green. Cornell Big Red.

Lots of colors used as nickname adjectives at other schools.

There is some weird results just a month in to the season. North Texas lost to Texas Tech, 66-21, after beating South Alabama 52-38, which went on to beat Northwestern St. 87-10

And because he was kicking, that meant he wasn’t there to do his usual job as holder. And whoever his replacement was had the laces sideways instead of pointing out.

Interesting one on the Palouse, with WSU up 24-17 at the break over San Jose State.

For trivia nerds, Stanford used to be the Indians before becoming the "Cardinals" (bird) before becoming the color. North Texas used to be the Eagles, Dartmouth and Syracuse used to be Indians as well. Cornel and Harvard? Always been Crimson and Big Red

Michael Bumpus taking a break from his Seahawks/Seattle sports talk gig to provide commentary from the Palouse.

This is the first time I’ve watched a CFB game on the CW, and they are doing a good job.
