I love how ginormous scoring games take on a bizzaro logic of their own and a three-score lead feels queasy.

I was thinking in terms of: Big Ten refs are just as bad as Pac-12 refs. But there's a difference between just being bad and ensuring one team wins. At least there weren't any 11-minute video replay delays.

 

The SEC always needs refs skilled in the latter.

Went to Columbia opener. Quirk of Ivy League scheduling--Columbia was playing its first game while Lafayette was playing its fourth. Didn't help the Leopards as Columbia pulls it out on gorgeous day in northern Manhattan that included the two longest reviews I've ever seen in my life. Interminable, followed by the ref's mic not working as he tried explaining what in the hell was happening.

 

Caught some value at Iowa State -38.5, up 31-0 at halftime.
