Storm broke further east than predicted. Birmingham got some wind and rain, but it's no big deal. Football tomorrow in Tuscaloosa and Birmingham won't be affected to speak of.

One of the annoying byproducts of Byron Allen buying the Weather Channel is we are now getting product placement within the content. Last week, they had a feature on generators and how this one family did not lose power thanks to its Generac generator — an advertiser on the Weather Channel.

    Roll Tide.
Especially since the literal tide is not rolling into those places.

It's flying north at 32 mph, but in about 21 hours it looks like it's going to settle in middle Kentucky and just sit there for a day as a wet depression,

Inmates are outside today working on the warden's inside-out program, tarring damaged roofs and cleaning up hurricane debris --- and at a bare minimum of expense to Mr. and Mrs. John Q. Taxpayer.

My yard is freakin' traaaaaaaaaaaaaaaashed with leaves and small limbs.
Starting to see blue skies, though.

Former co-worker who now lives in Douglas, Ga., posted on FB that his property was trashed and electricity is off. But there were no injures, so he feels fortunate. Lots of trees down, including big trees blocking main highways. A pecan tree split and just missed his front porch.

It’s chainsaw time here. It’s a mess. We are OK and our house is OK, but the neighborhood got trashed.
