Actually, to amend, I just saw a tweet saying the rules officials said a Miami player touched the loose ball when he was out of bounds, immediately ending the play. Hmm.

    My stakes today:

UGA-Bama U50.5 -- Two phenomenal defenses and offenses that have struggled a bit at times. 50 seems a lot.

UT -37.5 -- Ain't no way Mississippi State keeps this within 50

    OU +1.5 -- Fuck Auburn

Kentucky -- Ole Miss O52.5 -- Zero defense will be played in Oxford today

Once they decided a catch had not been completed and the ball was for grabs, then this was absolutely a correct ruling. I just think it took an act of jury nullification for them to get there.

At least it is just a half-shift, but your boy is not looking forward to the utter chaos of parking cars in T-Town today. Pray for mojo.

Too late. Permian beat Carver Birmingham 41-6 last night. They're 5-0 and play Odessa High next week.

    What in the blue fuck?

You’d be lucky if the top 10 percent of Carver grads didn’t need remedial classes at the start of college. Below that is an absolute free fall into despair. And so they’re going to take whatever limited funds are available and use it to send a reliably bad football team (last winning record 2017) to West Texas?

That would have been wasteful if it were a well-off suburban system. For Birmingham City Schools to pull this ought to be criminal.

Maybe the propsect of going to Texas for a football game kept an at-risk kid in the program and off the streets. Or more than one.

What's going on with Oklahoma and this game? They opened as two-point favorites, and that line swung the other way completely against a team that doesn't deserve that kind of respect. I saw something about a QB change earlier in the week, so was that it?

Yeah, the lure of Odessa, Texas is a powerful one for today's youth.
