    Verlander off Astros wild-card roster.

Hope you're wrong, but you're probably gonna be right.

No Suarez. (He did throw Sunday, but I'm still a little surprised.)

With just 3 appearances, Selby over Matt Bowman or Bryan Baker is interesting, too.

I don't know where my fifth grade teacher, Mrs. Hugle, is today. But in 1968, she forbid us from watching the World Series because she didn't like baseball. I ran home just in time to see Northrup's triple go over Flood's head in Game 7.

Guess what, Mrs. Hugle? I'm watching the Tigers today and there's nothing you can do about it! And that spelling list? Put me down for 100 percent.

I hope I'm terrible at predicting this, too!

I'd love to know why there's a reference to the Astrodome in the Yordan Alvarez graphic.

    Oh, and my predictions:

    Pain.

Mentioned it upthread, but I think they're banking on him to start Saturday in the Bronx if they advance. No need to keep four starters on the roster for a three-game WC series. Povich probably there for long relief purposes if necessary.
