Are they letting home teams choose roof status, or is it all the roofs closed in the post season?

 

Tigers call up some clown with a 5+ ERA in Toledo, turn him into an Aug/Sept lucky charm, and are now relying on him in a clinching playoff game against the AL team with the best record since end of May.

 

Tigers have been going with the one-inning starter and Johnny Wholestaff approach down the stretch, aside from when Skubal pitches. It's worked pretty well, so I can see why they're sticking with it.

 

I imagine Reese Olson is starting Game 3, if needed. He's not bad.

 

How cool would 4 elimination games tomorrow be?

My chaotic take: If I ran a baseball team, I just wouldn't have hitting coaches. Every guy is a quirk unto his own and has his own guy that he relies upon. So let him rely upon that guy when he's slumping.
