The GOP dude on the Abby Phillips roundtable last night on CNN was calling them "union thugs." I really wanted one of his co-panelists to call him Henry Ford and ask him if he also hated Jews.

The nature of presidential terms doesn't lead to such short term analysis. You are talking about 4 presidents.

Counter example. Joe Biden's policies led to high inflation.

And all this discussion begs the question of how much control over the economy a president has.

 

Wake me up when any trumplicans want to actually work with a Democrat in power.

And that counter example is crap. Inflation was a global issue and the U.S. handled it better than everyone else.

You know, it takes a TON of work for things to be somewhat under control. In the last week the Biden White House has handled the Hurricane, the escalation in the Middle East and the dock workers - major deals for any Presidency. Are things "perfect?" No. But I'd rather have the status quo than a TweetStorm in response to any of the above. I realize news orgs need clicks, but the Biden team knocked down two of the five potential "looming challenges" (according to CNN) that could decide the election in a matter of days.

 

It means there was some sort of compromise with your examples of Kennedy and Clinton. That hasn't happened much lately, certainly not with the band of trumplican chucklefucks right now. Case in point, the border bill (which is also an economic issue) that was completely tanked by trump and his minions. That was compromise and it snuffed out.
