Leading with the crown of the helmet. Check.

Launching yourself at the runner. Check.

Contact in the head or neck area. Check.

Three-for-three on all the definitions of targeting.

How is this not targeting? It was even reviewed. Make the call and Cal runs out the clock and wins the game.

That was an abysmal non-call. That looks like the kind of play they use to show what targeting is.
Another side effect was that the Cal quarterback was shaken up by the hit so they had to use their last timeout, which sort of came into play after Miami got the lead.

They were already winning, they just held and managed to score again to hit the 48.5 total points number.

Hadn't seen this. The U not being called for targeting and turning it into a win is a plot twist.

My Hoosiers are in a three-way tie for 18th in the new AP poll. There's also a tie for 11th. Am I crazy or have there never been multiple ties in a poll? Are there fewer overall votes now?

Even Lane Kiffin was sucked into the Vandy upset during his postgame presser.
