All the news stories lead with his role as Sheriff Brackett in the "Halloween" movies, but I'll always remember him as Charlie Donovan, the Indians' GM who served as a buffer between the team and owner Rachel Phelps in "Major League."

 

Cross him off then.

Not seeing Cage as Madden at all. Though I didn't imagine there was enough makeup to make Christian Bale into Cheney - I just find Cage to be a caricature of himself these days. Though I imagine he'll nail the fear of flying scenes. Also, Cage is a good 20 years older than the age Madden will be depicted in the movie. This would have been perfect for Phillip Seymour Hoffman. Also would have played both an A's manager and the Raiders coach.

The premise of that movie seems so bizarre that I'm shocked it got made. Given the talent attached - Adams and Marielle Heller - I'll check it out at some point, though.
