I must note that one of the crowd shots today showed a Mets fan wearing a Royals away jersey. I admire that level of pettiness in pursuit of rivalry. I wonder if he bought it last night.

Dodgers-Padres: The Geez and Whine Series.

 

Baseball has traditional responses to such behavior -- the spike-high slide into second -- the fastball at the ear-- which were old when Muncy's grandfather was a child. If the Dodgers won't respond it's on them.

 

I know inherited runners are a thing, and coming in with the bases loaded and no out is a bitch, but by my count, the Mets have scored 19 runs in this series and Phillies' relievers have been on the mound for 14 of them. That's not very good, to put it mildly.

 

Finally heard it. About the only thing he didn't say was "but he tried so hard...:

 

Just a continuation of last year's postseason bullshit, coupled with bats that can hit in May but go cold when it matters.

But at least I don't have to look at Craig Kimbrel.

 

Maybe the Dodgers should stop serving hanging curveballs (or whatever that was) to Fernando Tatis' son.
