President Biden: The NEW one and only politics thread

I have never, and I mean in 30+ years of using email, NEVER received a political solicitation for money. I have also since voting age received all of one poll call and that three weeks ago.

 

Stages of money appeals:
* “You know how evil my opponent is. Give me money.”
* “We can win. If you, who live 1,200 miles from my state, give me money.”
* “The latest polls prove we can win. But you have to give me money.”
* “The situation is dire. I’m going to die if you don’t give me money.”

 

My wife got some sort of polling call today that went something like this:
"Would you be willing to participate in a poll?"
"Sure."
"Do you plan to vote for Donald Trump?"
"No."

My son worked on numerous campaigns, starting with Obama 2008 and going on to two Mass. Governor campaigns that won and one LA Mayor who did (Garcetti). Of course I donated to each. As a result, there is no Democrat running in any election cycle ranging from Harris to state rep candidates in Utah who doesn't send me emails.

 

After deleting and blocking countless texts, I'm starting to get the "Why do you hate us" stage of appeals.

 

Another name for this is trauma.

 

Wondering if Lady G is the source on that anecdote.
