Same here. Even though I’ve been out of the biz a number of years, I always try to have pizza on Election Night. Both out of solidarity for those still fighting the good fight, and there’s something about going to vote at my local senior center on a crisp fall night, then having pizza and watching the election results.

It's mind-boggling Jill Stein would pull votes from Harris and not trump. Because both Stein and trump are working for the best interests of Russia.

How many examples to people need? He defers to and supports Russia over the U.S. every time.

I had two stickers in my ballot package when it arrived this week.

Talk about a weirdly loaded post.

I didn’t say they were equally disturbing. I didn’t even make a comparison.

I’m suggesting that rants like this are counterproductive to the cause. Celebrity opinions don’t count for much anymore, because they’re almost always tilted to one side.

Are you familiar with Lewis Black's work? The rant is the form for his act. He rants on all topics. It wasn't an "opinion," it was a routine by a comedian. Obviously, you didn't find it funny, which is OK. But did you recognize that's what it was?

One stop I was slapping out pages and also assigned a story, which was fun.

Can't remember if I've told this story before, but one election night, the assemblyman running in our circulation area held his election party in the town I lived in, about 20 miles from the office. We were a pm so didn't have to hustle back that night, but of course had an early wakeup call. The media crowd was me and a shooter from a sister paper I'd just left. Plus, I was on first-name basis with the candidate, who was in a safe district. After an hour or so, he knew we both had deadlines, so he ordered a balloon drop, gave me a couple of quotes and we both left.
