Both Buehler and Severino need a million pitches but limit the damage. Sevy hurt by crummy defense for two unearned. Buehler keeps the Mets off the board through four.

I think Francisco Alvarez will be a very good offensive catcher for the Mets. But he’s been lost in the playoffs. Hurting the Mets in too many big at-bats.

The fact this is being celebrated shows what has changed with starting pitching. It was 4 shutout innings. Bob Gibson just punched a cloud.

My next time clicking on something like this will be the first time -- but this might be it. These two are fabulous on X, not afraid to talk "inside baseball."

The Yankees are the worst baserunning team I’ve ever seen.

The three basic outcomes have nothing to do with baserunning.
