The "liberal Hollywood" thing is always funniest when you pause a moment to recall the two most colorful and divisive conservative presidents of the last hundred years both come to us from show business.

 

Or that the most "weak, ineffectual, peacenik leftist" candidate, George McGovern, was actually a g*damned genuine war hero.

 

One difference. Trump was basically the Ted Baxter of reality TV. Reagan could actually act. He wasn't Olivier, but he sure wasn't Kevin Sorbo either. He could do the job.

ABC's Nightly News had a long segment tonight with Trump's Jan. 6 "love" comment, showed the entirety of the Latino gentlemen's question, and all of Harris's "Bret, all due respect/edited clip" response. The narrative is changing.

Trump is cancelling a scheduled NRA rally appearance, prompting the NRA to scrap the event entirely. It may not be, but this feels significant.
