MLB '24 Postseason thread

Someone said tee ball earlier. Coach pitch is way funnier.

 

The Guardians are in the ALCS after having not one but two starting pitchers, one of whom got the call tonight, go 3-10 during the regular season. They're the first team to make the playoffs while having two guys sport winning percentages below .250 in 13 or more decisions.
Tonight's lineup included Kyle Manzardo, Daniel Schneeman, Austin Hedges and Brayan Rocchio.
And they won more than 90 games in the regular season. Props to the rookie manager, who seems to have gotten the most out of his team. Like so many, its starting pitching has been ravaged by injury.

 

We are well into the part of October where managers are resorting to Plan F, particularly on pitching. It's also kind of demonstrating why starting on Plan F is Plan F. How many times has Cleveland already run out of good pitchers in this series?

 

Yes, props to the guy who completely forgot how to do the things that made his team successful for six months.

 

I supposed it's the world we live in these days, but the fact that no one wants to even attempt to give their starters any leash makes it hard to watch.

 

Part of that stems from the fact that people with little to no regular-season innings in 2024 are starting some of these games because of injuries.

 

Might want to stop pitching to Giancarlo Stanton. My word.

 

That was a helluva do or die at second.

 

Apparent everyone knew Chisholm was stealing except Cabrera

 

This ALCS has been great. Especially if you’re not stressing over either team.
