Much like GameDay hitting Bloomington while it can, I wanted to give flowers to at least one service academy before the bloom is off the rose. And the (regularly-scheduled) Army-Navy game always falls in this weird spot where it isn’t a bowl but doesn’t really merit its own weekly thread.

Whew, you should have seen me try to explain this to my wife last night (we're both IU alums) how GameDay will be there but it's not the game of the day in the sport.

And they finally got me, I put in for 2025 season tickets. I've had basketball tickets for years and would have much better seats if I threw away money on football tickets, but couldn't make myself do it. But now it could almost make financial sense if the team carries the momentum to next year.

There was also this, which probably would have been on a highlight segment 20 years ago and now results in an ejection.

Probably cost UTEP the game. His backup cold not throw the football.

Yeah but the backup was named JP Pickles, so worth it for everyone else

When the team watches game film, you KNOW the coach has to run that on repeating loop for a moment.

Oregon State released its 2025 schedule today. The Beavs and Washington State will play home-and-home; in Corvallis on Nov. 1 and at Pullman on Nov. 29.

I'm assuming it's a one-year thing until the new Pac-12 comes online in 2025. I guess it's better than some far-flung body-bag game, both sites will draw good crowds, Pullman is easily accessible for OSU's fan base, and vice-versa with Corvallis, and team travel will be easy.

Beavers are also hosting Lafayette, which has to be one of the more unusual FBS-FCS intersectional games of all time.

A Grand Canyon U. ad in the run up to Liberty football is some mind-bending shit.

Didn't Liberty and New Mexico State play a home-and-home a couple years ago when both were independents?
