    What I don't get is this: This is a case of assault. Clear cut. A felony. Happened right in front of witnesses. There is video. Why is it up to the victim whether to prosecute or not??

    Anybody trying to figure out trends from 2020 is going to run into problems. Early voting and mail-in ballots during a pandemic provide no insight to what's happening now.

    There was an entire push by Democrats to be safe and vote early and by mail in or drop off ballots. We don’t have that same message now for obvious reasons. Republicans are also not actively trying to gaslight that a deadly disease wasn’t a problem. So we’re going to see mail ballots by GOP go up and Dems won’t have the sane urgency to vote early. But we need to see how it shakes out.
