Mail-in voting isn’t a red state thing because Republicans do better with lower turnout. Simple as that.

Firewalls work because it removes the possble number of voters on election day. If the other side already has fewer registered voters and is down a significant amount, they essentially can't catch up.

 

You mean it's a scam to give the illusion a trump win in inevitable, the same as bogus right-wing polls, so he can claim cheating and unleash his violent supporters if he loses?

Right, but I don't think you can accurately project the margin of those firewalls right now based on early voting habits, because those habits were heavily influenced by the pandemic.

Edit to add that the head analyst at RCP just wrote early voting data risks being misinterpreted and Jon Ralston, the poll data king in Nevada, agreed.

How does that affect Kelly’s credibility? That isn’t a reason for Kelly to lie about him.

Ralston has himself said that analyzing early voting in Nevada is much harder than it was because there's been a large increase in non-party affiliation registered voters because voters are automatically registered when they acquire or renew a driver's license.

 

Exactly, and Nevada is the one state where we could have traditionally gotten some valuable insight because they do early voting so well.

But because of that registration change, even Nevada is an unknown.
