She'll live on for decades in Andy Griffith Show syndication for her 2.5 seconds as "Girl in red convertible."

I think Teri Garr is in the Dolly Parton/Betty White realm of "everyone loves her." Not as well-known of course. But pretty much universally loved.

I'm sure there are some sickos out there who would find something. Because there always are a few.

And not to be repetitive, but Garr on Letterman was always a must-see. He embodied America's crush on her.

    Everything everyone else has said.

What a lively, fun spirit she was. Every time out.

Goldie Hawn, too. She and Teri Garr both made kooky sexy, and both with superb acting skills, too.

Teri Garr was the perfect Girl Next Door type. Even better if Barbara Eden lived next door on the other side.

And what is often forgotten about Garr (because of her comedic skills) is that she worked with so many top directors, none of whom are associated with comedy--Coppola (three times), Spielberg, Scorsese....plus Altman who was, but not the Brooks style of comedy.

My dad always said Goldie Hawn just got better with age. I feel the same way about Gillian Anderson.

Those old Lettermans are so good, including the rowdy studio crowds. So much fun. I joked with a friend that Teri Garr's death is like losing part of my childhood because I was such a "Late Night" fan in late jr. high and high school that I would tape it and watch it while I at breakfast before school. Those Teri Garr episodes were must-see TV.

I did the same thing but I watched them when I got home from school. Its incredible to me how amazingly low rent the production quality was on some of those early seasons yet we were too dam young to notice.
