Possibly unpopular opinion: Halloween (and all holidays, really) was a lot more fun before people started decorating in fucking mid-August to turn stupid ass "spooky season" into a 2-1/2 month slog. Saying this out loud to brace myself for the inevitable crush of Christmas decorating that will be up on November 1.

All holidays for me is, at best, a week-long decoration. Pumpkins can run from the last week of October until the end of November though since they double for Halloween and Turkey Day (no carved ones though ... just pumpkins sitting outside). Screw outdoor decor for XMas, unless you have decent weather to do it. I'm not hanging lights in a snowstorm.
Any "Hallmark Holiday" is trash. The 4th is for fireworks and can be moved to the closest weekend as well for maximum boom-booms.
My birthday? Balloons on the porch the day of. Inhale the helium the next day. :)

OK, I'm sitting in for a remote job interview. Scheduled for 3 p.m. - its now 3:40 p.m. Have emailed three times to ask what's up. No response. I can bail without penalty, yes?

Normally I'd say screw that - but it's with the company I'm currently at? Considering the number of people purportedly on the e-mail chain regarding the interview, nobody reached out to me and asked me what's up? Crazy.

Rant 2.0. Heard back from recruiting rep (apparently a boss since she has "Senior" in her title, that's good!), interview to be rescheduled. BUT, i had to bump an apartment inspection to today and THAT was supposed to happen an hour ago.
Keep in mind, I work nights. The lack of sleep I had yesterday really caught up to me and I left work early since I was really dragging. Glad I made it home in one piece, kind of tired. So now, I'm still waiting for the inspection - and sleep.
Other than that, my week is going great. Did I mention I was summoned for jury duty for a trial this week? Thankfully, I wasn't called.

Like a Stone is Audioslave's best song.

Different than yours, but we had a guy call about 15 minutes before his interview to reschedule because he couldn’t get a ride. My colleague who answered the phone politely took a message but wanted to tell him, if you can’t find a way to your interview, how can we expect you to find your way to work?
