You think it will be over by next Saturday. LOL.

It's gonna be over for me, anyway. I don't have to wring my hands over politics for four-year periods. If the political ads go away, so will a lot of my current angst.

If/when Trump loses do you think THEN people will start to criticize his campaign? Honestly, I've never seen a candidate run a cruddier campaign where they personally seemed to go out of their way to sabotage it time and time again, and receive so little criticism. Yes, he's been criticized for remarks, but not for potentially blowing the campaign. Its truly remarkable.

    Fuck yes on this.

In related news, I'm back to being terrified.

Well, the ads should be over... anything else I'm not sure.

Living in Southern California, we have four key House races so almost every commercial is for those candidates. Actually, most are bashing their opponent.
The majority are paid for by PACs.
None are my district, where the incumbent Democrat will easily win again.

And as we’ve discussed many times, enacting huge tariffs and deporting hundreds of thousands of workers will hurt the economy a great deal.

If she tries to embrace the positive, the right wing screech machine screeches about "the worst inflation in 100 years, etc etc."

In other words, complete bullshit as usual.

The reality of his deportation plan would look much different than his bold declarations.

Hopefully we won’t have to find out.

But your overall point — my combo meal at McDonald’s cost less when Trump was president! — is sadly as far as some voters are willing to think about the economy.

Trump voters are not doing so on account of the economy. That's what they say to sound respectable. They are voting for suffering by those they hate. If America as a whole suffers, well so be it. They'll blame their own suffering on "the others" anyhow.
