Auburn, facing 4th and 4 and a 10-point deficit, elects to try a 52-yard field goal with a part-time kicker who had not hit from 50-plus all year. No bueno as we approach the two minute don’t call it a warning.

Ohio State is obviously Lucy, not sure if Charlie Brown is Penn State fans, Penn State, Franklin or poll voters who seem to think the Lions are top 10 worthy despite having a dogcrap record against top 10 teams. Why bother man? The Big 10 needs to start scheduling some decent teams for Penn State earlier. I kind of feel like their fans are just being led on making them wait until November to be exposed.

Does Freeze survive this season? Does he seek Trump’s endorsement?

Tuberville was in the house today, so maybe a job swap?

I think they’re a little less eager to cashier a coach so early now that there’s an above-board NIL kitty to feed. But a 1-7 conference record is virtually assured.

He needs nine wins next year to feel safe. Eight might be enough but I don’t see them gritting their teeth through 7-5. Remember he was far from a consensus choice to start.

Don't know if you've heard of Lincoln University in Oakland, but they are making quite the case for being the Bishop Sycamore of college football. No division, just an independent scratching to fill a schedule. With an all-road schedule.

They might be outdoing themselves right now. West Georgia -- with a 2-6 record -- just opened its lead to 88-12 with 6:58 left and a running clock.

Next week, Lincoln gets to visit Erie, Pa., to face first-year FCS school Mercyhurst.

What's going on with Rice and Navy? Saw a tweet that it was delayed until 10 p.m. EST, but no reason given. Is it weather?

I might need a cigarette if Florida wins this.
