Yeah, the Harris bit on SNL was good. Light and fun.

Helluva reaction from the crowd, which certainly had to know she was there with security and social media. It wasn’t a surprise, but they were so loud and long that Harris and Maya Rudolph had to pause a long time to deliver lines.

I don’t think you take time to do SNL if you don’t feel pretty optimistic.

    I was afraid of that.
There's at least one high-profile Trumpist who is willing to chug the Kool-Aid: the Speaker of the House. He has essentially said he has conspired with Trump to steal it. All they have to do is find a state legislature or two or three to refuse to certify the results. Then nobody has a majority and it gets tossed to the new House, which will probably be in Trumpist hands. It sounds so simple that it compels you to wonder how or why nobody has tried it in the past. The reason: Nobody has ever been as evil as Trump. Not even Mojo Nixon, who probably got screwed, could muster enough support to make this viable in 1960. And he was VP at the time.

Yeah, Mike Johnson is a special kinda Shreveport punk. The difference between North Louisiana, and most of South Louisiana, outside Red Stick and Lake Chuck, is nothing short of staggering.

For those who went to bed early. And what can CFTFG say? It's not like she jerked off a microphone.

Nice surprise to have another past Dem ticket member on SNL, too.

If Harris wins so convincingly that they have to have 2-3-4 states refuse to certify, then Maga Mike won’t be Speaker of the House much longer.

I agree he and trump are lying scum and will try everything to steal it if they lose. But I’m not quite ready to indulge in every doomsday scenario yet.

Dang, I forgot about the same-state rule. Obviously a non-starter.

Hopefully by Jan. 6, 2025 Hakeem Jeffries is Speaker and MAGA Mike gets relegated to back-bencher. The new Congress makes the picks.

Besides that, most states specify that either the Legislature or Governor can certify the state election. The only battleground state without a Dem governor is Georgia, and Kemp has been a standup guy before.

Ok I’m back to nervous. Hopefully her campaign isn’t caught up in the end zone dance mode a lot of folks online seem to be.

I have to sing Battle Hymn of the Republic or Dixie with equal enthusiasm.

Don't doubt it, but I looked it up -- John McCain cameoed in the cold open (and did Update) on the last SNL before he lost to Obama in 2008. Obama himself cameoed a year earlier.
