Navy has gotten destroyed two weeks in a row now. I'm not sure if teams have figured them out, or if they have some injuries/issues, but they might be lucky to get to eight wins the way they're going right now.

The Notre Dame loss turned into a two losses. They looked so out of sorts against Notre Dame with the crazy unforced errors, special teams turnovers, penalties...The one thing you can almost always bank on with Army/Navy is that they aren't going to beat themselves. Last week against Notre Dame they made so many uncharacteristic mistakes that were not forced, they never gave themselves a punching chance against a team they were going to have to be perfect against.

Yesterday seemed more like a malaise from such a soul crushing effort last week. Then add in about five hours of weather delays and I just don't think they weere ever mentally in the game. Which is shocking to think given what those players represent and the stanrdard they are held to.

I think they will put on a better face this weekend against USF.

I would not want to be a USF fan next weekend.

Without a spoiler - can you imagine that last guy on the field Saturday?

With all the cross-country conference travel this year, do teams still just use one truck, one set of gear? I mean the Big 10 and ACC road coast to coast roadies are ridiculous. Or to they fly it out?

I'll be very curious to see if current plebe Andrew Erby works his way into early QB time next year.

He played small-school football in central Pennsylvania, but he truly dominated -- three titles in four years and the state passing-yardage record at tiny Steelton-Highspire. The Academy is totally tight-lipped about the NAPS football team, so it's hard to say what he's doing this fall.

It would be interesting to see if somebody who can throw the air out of the football can thrive in Annapolis.

Yeah, well, that too. UAB was in C-USA with them, and now the AAC. I fully understand where you are coming from.

I simply agree that Navy is going to be looking to right the ship Saturday.
